According the book of Proverb 22: 6 it says “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” In view of the above, C. S Lewis has this to say “Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a cleverer devil”. The task of the modern educators is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts. He went further to say, “By starving the sensibility of our pupils we only make them easier prey to the propagandist when he comes.”
It is therefore, based on these that we welcome you to this noble citadel of learning Mercy Seminary Bende. It is not only a place where future priests are formed, but also a place of moral excellence, a natural home of qualitative education cum physical and social development, hence the mission and vision statement of our congregation, SONS OF MARY GROUP OF SCHOOLS.
